I am excited (and slightly terrified) to announce my debut this weekend at London Fashion Week! While runways are nothing new to me, the sort I am familiar with are usually made of Mondo and end with me jumping into a sand pit…this time I will be striking a pose!
It has been a lot of fun working with Lenie Boya on the outfit, and with ProActive Prosthetics and The Alternative Limb Project on a stunning artificial leg! I am really passionate about helping to change the way women feel about their bodies and this is a great opportunity to challenge how we feel about perceived flaws and imperfections. Is it really such an awful thing to be different??? Or is it a fantastic opportunity for creativity and innovation?

Stef Reid has been selected for the BBC KickOff Trainee Sports Reporter 2015! Stef will be working with the sports team at BBC Radio Derby for 8 weeks. Ordinarily, this would be out of the question due to the heavy demands of the summer competition season. But in April, Stef received devastating news about her back that meant she would be out of training for the next 6 months. While sitting in hospital, waiting to see a specialist, Stef saw a tweet from Gabby Logan advertising the program. After an intensive application and interview process, Stef was called with the good news!

It was a big month for Stef as she officially reclaimed her T44 long jump WORLD RECORD with a leap of 5.47m at the Glasgow Diamond League Grand Prix at Hampden Park! "I couldn't have picked a better crowd or better venue," says Stef of the leap put her back at number one, and placed a target on her back ahead of the IPC European Champs. It was actually the second time Stef broke the world record, as she jumped 5.45m at a meet in April. However, the performance could not be ratified as the meet didn't hold an IPC permit.
